CICERO Centre for International Climate and Environmental Research contributes to the PLANET4HEALTH project by modelling air pollution levels in South Africa and examining its impact on health.
CICERO’s role in the project
CICERO’s climate and air pollution modellers are focused on modelling both ambient and household air pollution in South Africa. Their goal is to establish links between exposure to these pollutants and health outcomes, particularly among children. This research will contribute to understanding the significant environmental health risks posed by air pollution in sub-Saharan Africa.
